Wow. Each time I go to God's word, I find exactly what I need! Just as I was talking about a "dry" season in my writing, even in my life, here is God's answer to being well-watered! Taking delight in reading His word, spending time treasuring its wisdom yields a life that is rich and fruitful. He promises that if I will follow His word and not the advice of the world, I will have joy. Another fantastic reason to begin each and every morning reading the Bible!
Today's Verse: "Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season." Psalm 1:1-3a
Prayer for Today: Father, I long to live a joyful, fruitful life. Help me be faithful to seek you early in the morning through the pages of Your Word. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.
